SupplyLink - Purchase orders can now be securely shared with additional parties

New Functionality

Suppliers can now securely share purchase orders with other organisations they rely upon to fulfill their customer requirements. This functionality allows them to extend view/ update access on the POs to their service providers. The users from that service provider organization will be be able to access the POs and provide updates on behalf of the primary supplier.

How it works
  • Ordering party issues a PO to their supplier via SupplyLink.
  • Supplier adds a service provider organisation to the PO in SupplyLink. The service provider orgnisations are called as "Related Parties" in SupplyLink application.
  • The new section "Related Parties" in PO Editor page provides the functionality to add and manage related parties for a PO.

  • Following are the 3 access levels applicable to the related party on a PO:
    • No access
    • View only
    • Update
  • Related parties will be able to view  the PO in the SupplyLink web portal and provide production / dispatch schedule updates depending on the access level granted to them.
  • Supplier can assign multiple related parties on a PO.
  • Changes made by the related parties are tracked and visible to everyone associated with the PO.
  • Similar to the primary organisations, related parties can use the Notes functionality to post messages to other parties and view the responses.
  • Related parties can also utilize reports and analytics functionality for better performance analysis.
Data security
  • Related parties can only view the POs assigned to them by the principle supplier.
  • The monitory information of the PO is not visible to the related parties. Fields such as PO unit $price, shipped $value, back order $value and total $value are not visible to the related party across the SupplyLink application pages.
